I am a wilderness guide, charterboat operator, writer, Morning Edition Host on public radio, and community activist living and working in Petersburg, Alaska. I moved to Southeast Alaska 26 years ago from Martha’s Vineyard, Massachussetts to become a commercial fisherman and am inspired by the contrast of living in a very close community surrounded by wilderness.
What a delight, to see your face on my computer screen this morning, along with the promise of reading your words whenever I choose. Close community, wilderness, and technology. How rich life is. Welcome to blogging.
I talked to Scott today and he told me about your blog. I’ve been up all evening reading it. It is inspiring, tearful, joyful, funny. Kind of like life. Thanks so much for your hard work and sharing of your thoughts. You are a wonderful writer, and it is a privilege to read your impressions of life and about your journey.
